2024 Topps Chrome Football marks the return of one of the sport’s biggest brands as a standalone release. It was one piece of 2023 Topps Composite Football, a product that folded several lines into one set. This time, though, it’s all Chrome, the first time since 2015.

Things look different this time around. Autographs and Refractors still line the checklist but collectors won’t find any NFL logos or team marks. Panini still holds the exclusive license for the league but Fanatics and Topps continue to put out sets featuring rookies and retired stars.

The foundation of the 2024 Topps Chrome Football checklist is a 300-card base set. The first two-thirds is pretty much all retired players covering multiple decades and generations.

Topps’ handful of 2023 football releases had just a handful of rookies. It’s a big change here with 100 included in the main set.

All cards have a Refractor rainbow adding to the chase. Specifics on colors, patterns and exclusives are not yet known.

Autographs have been a focal point for Topps Chrome for decades. There’s plenty to chase here. Both Base Autographs and Rookie Autographs have nearly 100 cards each with lots more Refractors. While 2024 Topps Chrome Football can’t use team logos, the product does include autographs from several rookies that have exclusive deals with Fanatics. Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams and Drake Maye are among them.

More freshman ink can be found in Rookie Patch Autographs, All-Etch Rookie Rush Autographs and Future Stars Autographs.

Other signature themes include Dual Autographs, Chrome Legends Autographs, All-Pro Autographs, and All-Etch Autographs.
