2024 Topps Chrome Tennis is the sophomore effort for the shiny and colorful brand. It’s the first since the 2021 release (that didn’t actually come out until the spring of 2023). Like all things Topps Chrome, there’s lots of color.
Autographs are also plentiful this time around with three landing in every hobby box.
The base set has players from both the men’s and women’s circuits. New this year is a “RC” badge for players getting their first cards, similar to what Topps does in other sports and even Star Wars. In all, there are 200 cards in the main set.
Topps Chrome means parallels, and lots of them. The rainbow includes over 20 additional versions:
Standard autographs use the same design as the base set. The parallel assortment varies slightly depending on the player. More common signatures have:
Tougher autographs are limited to Refractors (/99), Gold Refractors (/50), Orange Refractors (/25), Black Refractors (/10), Red Refractors (/5) and Superfractors (1/1).
Some cards also have Image Variation Autographs that use different photos. Six levels of parallels exist with none numbered to more than 99.
Dual Autographs have 25 copies each plus Black Refractors (/10), Red Refractors (/5) and Superfractors (1/1).
