2024 Topps Chrome US Olympic and Paralympic Hopefuls goes for gold in a different direction. While Topps has been covering the Olympics for more than a decade, it was with traditional releases. In adding Chrome, they’re putting the spotlight on medal chasers with metal.
Hobby boxes have three hits, two of which are autographs.
The 200-card base set centers largely on athletes with dreams on competing in Paris. That said, there are some who participated in past games as well.
In typical Topps Chrome fashion, there’s a rainbow of parallels for every card:
Base Autographs are the most common way to find signatures in the product. Using a same design as the main set, these also have Green Refractors (/99), US Flag (/76), Gold Refractors (/50), Red Refractors (/5) and Superfractors (1/1).
Olympic Champions Autographs fall approximately one per case. Base versions are numbered to 99 or less with additional parallels also available.
Dual Autographs (/25 or less) and Topps Dynasty Autograph Relics (/10) make for some of the toughest pulls in the product.
For relics, there’s Team USA Memorabilia Pieces that have Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/5) and Superfractor (1/1) parallels.
