Product Overview

2024 Topps Definitive Baseball doesn’t take its name lightly. Sure, there are plenty of super premium products each year now that also have an assortment of low-numbered autographs and memorabilia cards (not to mention the hefty price tags that come with them). A couple of things set Definitive apart. First, you’re not just getting one or two cards per box. Here, it’s eight (six total autographs and autograph relics plus two memorabilia cards), all numbered to 50 or fewer. Topps has also added chase elements that put more meaning and stories behind some of the cards. Outside of cut signatures, all autographs in 2024 Topps Definitive Baseball come on-card. Collectors aren’t going to find any stickers here, something that has seeped into some of the hobby’s top high-end lines over the past several years. While Definitive does have a base set, it’s all autograph relics. Standard versions have no more than 50 copies. Parallels include: Definitive Rookie Patch Autographs (/50) and Definitive Autograph Relics (/40) both come with oversized swatches. RPA cards also have Green (/25), Purple (/10) and Red (1/1) versions. Definitive Autograph Relics have similar colors but smaller quantities: Green (/10), Purple (/5) and Red (1/1). Taking things even bigger are Definitive Ultra Patch Collection cards. These have pieces of numbers, nameplates and team logo patches. Put all the copies together and the entire patch can be formed like a puzzle. Autograph Patch Book Collection (/5 or less) cards feature both current and retired stars. One of the areas that Definitive is adding something extra this time is with its Autographed First Batting Glove cards. Numbered to 5, these have pieces of the batting gloves worn when players accomplished a significant “first” like hit or home run. Red parallels are one-of-ones.
