The 2025-26 SP Authentic Hockey release keeps one of Upper Deck’s flagship brands on track toward its 30th anniversary. Built around the hobby-favorite Future Watch rookie cards, this edition maintains the product’s established formula with a focus on autographs, parallels, and a robust bounty program.
The core set once again features a 200-card checklist, split evenly between established stars and rookies:
Hobby boxes follow a familiar configuration, highlighted by two guaranteed autographs per box:
Each hobby pack contains 9 cards, with 10 packs per box and 16 boxes per case (configured as two 8-box inner cases). The release date is still to be announced.
The veteran portion of the checklist continues under the Limited theme, with several parallel tiers:
Selected veterans also receive Limited Autograph versions, landing approximately 1 in every 60 packs. Limited Materials Autographs for these players are split into four tiers, each with different print runs: /100, /50, /25, and /10.
Future Watch rookie cards are once again a central draw. Each rookie is numbered to 999, and the majority of these are autographed. Non-autographed Limited parallels expand the chase with multiple color levels:
Additional Future Watch variations deepen the rookie content, including:
SP Authentic continues to lean heavily on on-card signatures and themed autograph sets. Sign of the Times remains a cornerstone, with base versions appearing about 1 in every 32 packs. Multi-signed versions escalate in rarity:
Sign of the Times Rookies form a separate checklist and are significantly tougher pulls, at roughly 1 in 864 packs.
Several other autograph lines return or debut in 2025-26:
Non-autographed inserts appear frequently, with at least one insert in every pack. Collectors can expect:
Freshman Focus, Collaborations, and Outliers each include Blue and Green parallel versions. Tougher insert pulls include Holofoils and Legends Holofoils (each around 1 in 160 packs) and Future Icons, which are numbered to 399.
The Spectrum FX Bounty Challenge returns for collectors who want an added layer of difficulty and rewards. Spectrum FX cards are spread across the product and make up a 91-card insert set divided into four groups:
Collectors who assemble and register the full 91-card Spectrum FX set through Upper Deck’s bounty platform can claim a nine-card Spectrum FX Bounty Award set, extending the overall Spectrum lineup to 100 cards.
The first 50 participants to successfully register a complete Spectrum FX set receive an expanded prize package that includes all 91 cards in a Gold Spectrum version, each numbered to 50, along with an additional mystery bonus.
With its established mix of Future Watch rookies, on-card autographs, and the Spectrum FX bounty chase, 2025-26 SP Authentic Hockey continues the brand’s long-running formula while offering collectors multiple layers of hits and chase elements in every hobby box.
