The 2025-26 Upper Deck Extended Series Hockey release closes out Upper Deck’s three-part flagship lineup for the season, adding a new headliner: NHL Debut Game Jersey cards. Alongside these debut-worn memorabilia cards, the product delivers the usual mix of Young Guns, 1st Round Rookies, and a deep roster of inserts and parallels.
The Extended Series base checklist continues the flagship numbering, running from card #501 through #750 and picking up where Series 2 ends. A new 4 Nations Face-Off subset steps in for the All-Star content that appeared in previous years.
Base cards #501–700 focus on veteran players, while #701–750 are dedicated to Young Guns and 1st Round Rookies. Those rookie-themed cards combine to appear roughly once every other hobby pack, maintaining their status as a primary chase for collectors.
Each hobby box is built around a mix of inserts, parallels, and rookie content. On average, collectors can look for three serial-numbered or otherwise rare inserts per box, plus a large assortment of additional inserts and parallels.
The full 250-card Extended Series base set is covered by several parallel tiers:
Young Guns also receive additional treatment through Canvas and Retro versions:
The standout new chase in 2025-26 Upper Deck Extended Series Hockey is the Rookie Debut Game Jersey program. Each card pairs a photo from a player’s first NHL game with a swatch from a jersey worn in that debut. Base versions are extremely tough pulls, landing approximately 1:1,008 packs.
Autographed Rookie Debut Game Jersey cards are numbered to match the player’s jersey number, further tightening supply. Every participating player also has a gold-signed one-of-one version. According to Upper Deck, these 1/1 cards may feature a provenance tag from the team or a third-party authenticator, or a personalized inscription on the tag or fight strap from the team’s equipment staff.
