2025-26 Upper Deck MVP Hockey leads off a new card season. It might not be the fanciest set or have the deepest checklist but it’s designed to be an easy way for collectors to get a foothold in the hobby, not to mention offer a preview of the year ahead.

The foundation of the product is its base set, which totals 250 cards. The final 50 of these are a mix of SPs and Rookies that land every other hobby pack. Due to the early release date, rookies here are carryovers who debuted late in the 2024-25 season.

Parallels include Silver Script (1:5 packs, SPs and Rookies 1:20 packs), Super Script (/25), Black Super Script (1/1) and Printing Plates (1/1). Gold Script versions are exclusive to retail blasters.

While players debuting in 2025-26 aren’t live in packs, there are redemptions (1:400 packs) good for a selection of rookies from a specific division.

While 2025-26 Upper Deck MVP Hockey doesn’t have any autographs or memorabilia cards, there are a handful of other inserts, some of which bring low print runs and scarcity.

Vivid Colors and Contours return. Gold versions have 250 copies with Green (/20) and Purple (/3) versions joining them on the checklist.

Debuting Laser Focused inserts are also all serial numbered with Red (/399), Blue (/99) and Purple (/10) levels.

The NHL’s most famous cheerleaders are available in a pair of insert sets, Mascot Stickers (1:9 packs) and Mascot Battle (1:16 packs).
