Product Overview

2025 Bowman Baseball is the first set of the year to focus on prospects. It’s also typically one of the most popular thanks to its history of autographs, Refractors and “1st Bowman” cards. The names might be different (except when they’re not), but the overall concept remains the same. The main Bowman base set is where the veterans and rookies are found — 100 to be exact. Here, they’re only available as standard Bowman cards, not Chrome. The 150 Prospects, which carry the same design but different numbering, have both Bowman and Bowman Chrome versions, each with their own assortment of parallels. For Chrome, that means Refractors and lots of them. While the rainbows have certainly evolved over the years, these parallels have been a Chrome cornerstone since the brand debuted in 1997. Perhaps the most important and sought after cards on the 2025 Bowman Baseball checklist are the Chrome Prospect Autographs. For many players, these are among their first MLB cards. The more than 100 signers includes a lot of international prospects, players from last year’s draft and others working their way through the minors. Among the headliners is Charlie Condon, the third overall pick in the 2024 draft. The Rockies standout did not appear in 2024 Bowman Draft Baseball. Other returning signature themes include Chrome Rookie Autographs and retail-only Bowman “paper” autographs. There is also a new batch of All America Game Autographs and buybacks of original Bowman cards that have since been signed. Inserts are a mix of new and old. Among them is the return of Anime, a standout in 2024 Bowman Baseball. Thirty players are represented with Japanese-style artwork. Also available are Kanji variations for the set’s four Japanese players. Bowman Scouts’ Top 100 is also back with Topps offering their ranking of the best prospects in the game heading into the season.
