2025 Donruss Elite Football marks the 10th straight release of the foilboard product from Panini, which continues to maintain the legacy of a concept that first debuted in 1991. The hobby box configuration remains the same for a fifth straight year: boxes will deliver two autographs, one memorabilia card, 11 inserts, six parallels, and three rookie cards – some of the first for 2025 NFL draftees. The 2025 Donruss Elite Football checklist will again run 200 cards – 100 NFL veterans and 100 rookies. As of this writing, information on parallels has not been released by Panini, but traditionally, the Elite series carries a variety of serial-numbered and colorful variations of the entire base set. Autographed cards will take center stage in 2025 Donruss Elite Football, with sets featuring current stars and NFL legends. Returning favorites include Passing the Torch, another concept with original roots in the 1990s. There will be single- and dual-signed versions. Pen Pals is also back, with Single-, Double-, Triple-, and Quad-signed variations. Back to the Future, Etched in Time, and Turn of the Century return, as does Team Lineage – which combines three players that show the evolution of stars at a particular position for a single team. Retired players make up the checklist of Throwback Threads, an eccentric memorabilia set that brings together design elements from several decades to form colorful cards that feature jersey relics and prime patches. There will be single- and dual-player versions.
