The 2025 Panini Select WNBA Basketball release brings the chromium, tiered-card brand back to the women’s game, building on the momentum from its debut WNBA edition. Collectors can look for a deep base set, colorful parallels, and a mix of autographs, memorabilia, and chase inserts aimed at modern hobby tastes.
Hobby boxes of 2025 Panini Select WNBA are structured to deliver a blend of hits and color. Each box is slated to contain three total autographs or memorabilia cards, giving collectors multiple chances at premium content. In addition, every box includes 12 Prizm parallels, ensuring plenty of chromium shine and color variation across the break.
Boxes also offer nine inserts or insert parallels per hobby box, adding another layer of variety and chase. This mix of signatures, relics, parallels, and inserts is designed to appeal to both player collectors and set builders.
As with other Select releases, the defining feature is the tiered base set. While the exact 2025 checklist size has not been confirmed, last year’s WNBA Select run featured 250 cards divided into three levels: Concourse, Premier Level, and Courtside. Each tier becomes progressively tougher to find, with Courtside at the top of the rarity ladder.
The parallel lineup spans a wide range of colors and patterns. Collectors can expect traditional color parallels alongside more distinctive treatments such as Jazz, Pink Camo, White Disco, Zebra, and additional patterned variations. These parallels appear across the different tiers, with scarcity typically increasing at the higher levels.
Autograph content returns with several familiar themes. Draft Selections Signatures spotlight players shortly after they are chosen in the 2025 WNBA Draft, capturing them holding their new team jerseys. Courtside Action Signatures also make a comeback, combining a portrait image with an in-game action photo. For 2025, the design shifts slightly, with larger portrait images moved to the left side of the card.
Select Pairings Signatures are back as well, offering horizontal cards that feature two different player autographs on a single piece. These dual-signed cards add a collaborative element to the checklist and can highlight teammates, rivals, or notable pairings from around the league.
The insert program expands with both returning and new concepts. A notable addition is Score Select Throwback, which draws its design inspiration from a classic baseball card look made famous by Derek Jeter’s 1993 Select rookie. This retro styling is reimagined for WNBA stars, blending nostalgia with the modern chromium format.
Among the most coveted pulls will be SSP Black Color Blast cards. These ultra-short print inserts put a darker spin on the popular Color Blast concept, featuring a blacked-out background, a burst of rainbow-colored dust, and a cut-out action shot for a clean, high-impact visual. Their limited nature and striking design position them as key chases in the product.
Each 2025 Panini Select WNBA hobby pack contains five cards, with 12 packs per hobby box and 12 hobby boxes per case. The overall set size is still to be announced. The planned release date is April 1, 2026, though that timing is subject to change.

With its tiered base structure, broad parallel spectrum, and mix of autographs, memorabilia, and SSP inserts, 2025 Panini Select WNBA aims to deliver a comprehensive chromium experience for WNBA collectors and fans alike.
