The 2025 Topps MLS 30th Anniversary Collection will celebrate both the current stars of Major League Soccer and some of the players who helped build the league over its first 29 seasons.

Boxes recognizing the 30th year of MLS soccer will contain one autograph, four inserts, and three numbered parallels.

FIFA first planted the seed for MLS in 1988 after awarding the 1994 World Cup to the United States. One condition of hosting the prestigious international tournament was for the U.S. to develop a top-level national outdoor league.

Initial plans called for the league to launch in 1995, but the first game did not officially kick off in San Jose, California, until April 6, 1996. The league had 10 or 12 teams for its first 11 seasons but has steadily expanded since.

MLS added a new team for every season between 2007 and 2010, then expanded by two to jump to 18 clubs in 2011. The league has grown several more times, and with the debut of San Diego FC in 2025, MLS now has a fitting 30 teams for its 30th season.

Topps first released MLS cards in 2013.

The base checklist, naturally, has 30 cards.

Players in the set range from original MLS players to current stars, and more than 20 teams are represented.
