The 2025 Topps Series 1 Baseball Tokyo Series mega box is a special flagship release done in conjunction with the World Tour that kicks off the season. While it includes a lot of content from the main Series 1 set, these Tokyo Series boxes have some special exclusives as well.

2025 Topps Series 1 Baseball Tokyo Series Checklist Overview

For starters, there are 100 Base Murakami Variations. Top stars and rookies from the base set get special versions designed by Takashi Murakami, the popular Japanese artist. The layout is roughly the same, but borders have cartoon cherry blossoms. Murakami’s trademark rainbow flower is also integrated into the special cards. These are separate from the special box set the artist also created for the Tokyo Series.

Each Murakami Variation has just 10 copies.

Four other insert sets are exclusive to 2025 Topps Series 1 Baseball Tokyo Series mega boxes. Not surprisingly, all are tied into the connection between Japan and the sport.

History of Japanese Baseball uses a newspaper-inspired layout to showcase big moments from MLB games played in Japan.

The country’s top exports, past and present, are highlighted in Stars of Japan.

World Tour Domination has players from the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs, the two teams playing in this season’s Tokyo Series.

All three of these insert sets have four additional parallels: Orange (/25), Black (/10), Red (/5) and Foilfractors (1/1). Stars of Japan and World Tour Domination have some autographs as well. In fact, Stars of Japan expands into Dual Autographs, too.

Finally, there’s Tokyo Nights. This set takes both Japanese players as well as Cubs and Dodgers and casts their faces over a map view of the city from above.
