2025 Upper Deck World of Sports brings back a brand from the past but with a different focus. Used a few times before, there’s still an all-encompassing approach to the checklist as far as the sports are concerned. However, World of Sports now shifts to a collegiate focus. Hobby boxes promise one autograph as well as multiple inserts in every pack from a cross section of schools and programs from across the country. 2025 Upper Deck World of Sports Checklist Overview The complete base set has 400 total cards. Subjects are athletes from more than 15 different colleges and universities, all fully licensed with logos and uniforms. Football, basketball, baseball, softball, gymnastics, volleyball, track and field are among the sports that players come from. This means that not only will these be some of the first sports cards for some athletes, but for some sports, it may end up being some of their only cards. The final 100 cards of the base set fall under the Prospective Talent banner. Similar to Upper Deck flagship’s Young Guns, these are modest short prints, falling approximately every other hobby pack. While the main player cards don’t have parallels, Prospective Talent does: Blue Foilboard – 1:6 packs Green Foilboard – 1:12 packs Outburst – 1:12 packs Gold Foilboard – /249 Exclusives – /100 High Gloss – /10 Gold Spectrum Foilboard – 1/1 Select cards also have autograph versions, which are 1:12 packs. When it comes to inserts, collectors will find multiple Around the Globe (1:4 packs), Athletic Artisans (1:4 packs) and Making the Grade (1:2 packs) cards in every pack. These have Blue, Green, Orange (/499), Purple (/299), Red (/99) and Gold (/10) parallels as well as low-numbered autographs. Similarly, there’s Letterman Jackets, which land every third pack. The only parallels for these is Gold (/99). Every hobby box has one acetate insert from Clear Competitors (1:30 packs), Lucidity (1:40 packs) or Pure Athletes (1:40 packs).
