Christian Laettner, renowned for his success in NCAA basketball and as part of the Olympic "Dream Team," is once again partnering with SCP Auctions to auction over 36 items from his personal collection. This includes his 1991 and 1992 NCAA championship rings, a 1987 recruitment letter from Coach Mike Krzyzewski, his retired #32 Duke jersey, and memorabilia from the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. The auction, running until Dec. 2, also features Laettner's Naismith Hall of Fame ring and his 2010 National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame Induction Medal, along with a 1997 NBA All-Star ring and a game-worn rookie jersey. Laettner's decision to auction these items reflects his desire to share his basketball career memories with fans and collectors.

In addition to the items mentioned, the auction showcases significant pieces from Laettner's Olympic journey, such as his game-worn, autographed uniform and warm-up suit from the 1992 Dream Team, a team-signed basketball, and an autographed ticket from the gold medal final, which is the highest PSA graded example. These items represent a pivotal moment in Laettner's career and Olympic basketball history, where he played alongside some of the game's greatest legends.

The inclusion of Laettner's personal memorabilia extends an exclusive opportunity for collectors and fans to own a piece of basketball history. His statement regarding the auction reflects a sense of nostalgia and a willingness to share his cherished memories and achievements with those who have admired his career.

This auction follows the notable sale in 2014 of the jersey Laettner wore during his famous turnaround jumper that secured victory against Kentucky in the 1992 NCAA Tournament, which fetched $119,500. Such high-profile sales underscore the enduring value and appeal of sports memorabilia, especially items associated with iconic moments and celebrated athletes like Laettner.

With the auction set to close on Dec. 2, it presents a unique moment for sports memorabilia enthusiasts to acquire rare items from the career of one of college basketball's most storied players. Laettner's achievements, both in NCAA basketball and as part of the legendary Dream Team, make the items in this auction particularly significant and sought after in the world of sports collectibles.
