Listening to some podcasts and reading some hobby reports and articles, Ja , Luca, and even Zion despite his injuries, are all gaining in terms of numbers of cards submitted for grading. Recently they are equal to if not surpassed Jordan in Rees of grading submissions any given month. Is Jordan really slipping in the hobby market? If he is, I would think it has to be because of the current generation. Todays collectors are more familiar with the current stars and just never have seen him played. Probably similar to how I would collect Randy Johnson more than I would Nolan Ryan. I just grew up watching Johnson play.
