In an exciting development for sports memorabilia collectors and philanthropists, MeiGray has launched a charity auction featuring jerseys worn by members of the Los Angeles Lakers, including superstar LeBron James. This auction, born from a partnership with the Lakers established last year, aims to support the Lakers Youth Foundation by auctioning off “Association Edition” white jerseys from a memorable December 2022 game against the Washington Wizards.

Notably, two jerseys worn by Russell Westbrook are also up for grabs among other game-worn and issued jerseys, with the auction set to conclude on March 28. This initiative reflects a commitment to harnessing the power of sports memorabilia for the greater good, benefiting underserved youth through programs focused on education, health, wellness, and sports.

Separately, the iconic trading card company Topps has secured an exclusive agreement to produce and distribute official trading cards and stickers for Team GB, the moniker for the Great Britain and Northern Ireland Olympic Team. This deal, extending until 2028, positions Topps as the go-to source for collectibles featuring both current Olympic athletes and legendary figures from past Games.

With the 2024 Paris Olympics on the horizon, Team GB's collaboration with Topps is set to ignite excitement among UK sports fans, offering them a tangible connection to the Games. According to Amber Jeffries Keel, Senior Licensing and Retail Manager at Team GB, the partnership aims to bring fans closer to the action, making the upcoming Paris Olympics feel like a home game. Topps has already released a boxed set product in the UK, with plans to expand offerings through traditional packs and the innovative Topps NOW platform, ensuring fans can secure a piece of Olympic legacy.
