Whatnot has launched its new Rewards Club, a loyalty program designed to enhance the buying and selling experience on the platform. With a gradual rollout underway, this achievement-based program aims to strengthen connections between buyers and sellers by offering exciting rewards and streamlined transactions.

Introducing the Rewards Club

The Rewards Club is a flexible, achievement-based loyalty program that benefits both buyers and sellers. It helps sellers grow their businesses, track buyer interactions, and deliver fun rewards and recognition. This always-active program encourages repeat purchases and deeper engagement within the community.

Customizable for Sellers

Recognizing that every seller's business is unique, the Rewards Club is fully customizable. Sellers can tailor the program to fit their specific needs and community dynamics, setting their own thresholds for achievements and choosing the rewards that best align with their business goals.

Structure of the Program

The Rewards Club features five tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. Members progress through these tiers by completing various achievements set by the seller, such as watching a number of shows, making purchases, or spending a certain amount.

Exciting Rewards and Benefits

As members unlock tiers, they earn status badges, coupons (including dollar-based, percentage-based, and free shipping), and access to exclusive tier-only shows. Membership is automatic upon achieving the required milestones.

Seasonal Resets for Continuous Improvement

To keep the program dynamic and relevant, all Rewards Club programs reset every three months. This seasonal schedule allows sellers to refine and improve their offerings regularly. The seasons are:

  • Winter: December, January, February
  • Spring: March, April, May
  • Summer: June, July, August
  • Fall: September, October, November
Adaptable to Sellers' Needs

The flexibility of the Rewards Club ensures it can adapt to the diverse needs of different sellers. Sellers have the freedom to determine the completion thresholds for achievements and select the rewards that best suit their business strategies.

Managing Tiers and Achievements

Achievements are specific tasks set by the seller, such as watching a certain number of shows or making a set number of purchases. Sellers can initiate their program at any time during a season and adjust it as needed at the end of each season.

Beta Testing and Official Launch

The beta test for Rewards Club runs until August 31, with the official launch of Season 1 on September 1. During the beta phase, sellers can modify their tiers and cancel their programs by contacting their Account Manager or Whatnot Support.

Getting Started

To join the waitlist for early access to edit tiers for the Season 1 launch, sellers can sign up here.

Eligibility for Sellers

To participate, sellers must meet the following criteria:

  • Processed 50 or more non-giveaway orders
  • Earned over $1,000 on Whatnot
  • Been a seller for 30 days or longer
  • Have a seller rating of 4.8 or higher
  • Not be on a second offense in any violation category
For Buyers

Buyers are automatically enrolled in a seller’s Rewards Club upon making a purchase. They can manage their rewards and coupons through the Rewards Club overview page. It's important to note that purchases made using coupons are final.

Tracking Achievements

The total amount spent, including taxes and shipping fees, counts towards achievements. Discounts applied via coupons do not count towards spending achievements.

Privacy and Badge Visibility

Members can choose to display or hide their Rewards Badges during live shows, ensuring their privacy preferences are respected.

Questions and Support

As the Rewards Club rolls out, Whatnot is committed to providing support and assistance. For any questions or further information, users are encouraged to reach out to the Whatnot support team.
